Eligibility
Grants are limited to the counties of Jackson and Lenawee in Michigan. Only
Internal Revenue Service tax exempt 501 (c) (3) are qualified for support.
We do not award grants to individuals. However, the Foundation
has set up a scholarship fund for those interested in furthering their education.
Grant
Application Procedures
Letter of Intent (please refer to above link)
So as not
to burden the potential grantee with unnecessary paperwork, we request
that a letter of intent be submitted to the Foundation. This should
be no more than two pages in length and should let us know what you are
requesting funds for, the amount you are seeking and a little about the
intended program/project. The letter should be sent to:
The
Sigmund Foundation
P.O. Box 1128
Jackson, MI 49204
The
board of directors will review the letter of intent. You will be
notified of their decision to submit an application.
Application
If your organization has been selected for a formal grant review, an application
will be sent to you with complete instructions.
Grantmaking Timetable
The board of directors meets periodically throughout the year. Depending
upon the complexity of the request, proposals normally take between eight
to twelve weeks.
